How we Work

QUALITY FROM THE START

If you’re searching for a builder, be sure to consider how each one operates and what their processes are, because the truth is, not all processes are equal. Quality is planned in from the start and not “inspected in” after the home has been designed and constructed. As a homeowner, building a custom home can seem daunting, but it’s a journey you won’t go on alone. When you choose to build with us, you’ll have a small, close-knit team working together with you from the very beginning. You won’t be relying on just one person to get your project completed, we work collectively to deliver a building experience that is less stressful, more efficient, and fully transparent.

We start off with a clearly defined scope of work, based on your construction plans and specification documents, which act as the foundation for the project. From there, we conduct multiple site walk-throughs with you, involving your project managers, site supervisors and the trades to ensure we’re all on the same page. When changes do arise, we create fully documented change orders that must be approved before proceeding, as the budget, scope of work and/or schedule may be affected.

Our site supervisors are on the jobsite daily and are fully immersed in the details of your home, ensuring everything is being executed correctly. We know that things happen, and issues do arise throughout the build. Having our supervisors on site each day means that we’re informed and can get to work right away on brainstorming creative solutions to remedy these matters. While this might seem like a normal process, it unfortunately isn’t in our industry.

Our relationship doesn’t end when you move in. We’ll schedule two more walk-throughs with you, thirty days and one year after moving in. At these times we’ll create a list of any deficiencies that may have arisen, and our Construction & Service Manager will arrange a day for the trades to come and address these items. In addition, you’ll have a two year materials and labour warranty, a five year building envelope warranty and 10 year structural defect warranty that commence when you take possession.
