10 Years in Business!
We are so excited to be celebrating 10 YEARS in business this year! While there are so many to choose from, these are our top 10 highlights from our first 10 years:
Welcome to Wren Place! This is the first home we built as 3rd Generation Homes. This truly is one of those timeless designs – 10 years later and it’s still a beautiful home.
The Farina’s are the wonderful owners of this beautiful home (AKA. Casa Farina), which was our first Kelowna custom build! They have been enjoying it for over 8 years now.
Mixing modern with traditional was something we started 8 years ago, when Cassidy told Gerald he had to drill nearly a hundred holes for the railing spindles. Instead, he suggested glass. None of our suppliers had ever done glass railing with the shaker style posts and it was rare at that time to have glass railing inside, but it sure turned out amazing! Another timeless design that we still use today!
As the company grew, it became apparent that we could no longer do everything ourselves. It was time to take off some of our hats and pass them on to other people. Ever since, we have been supported by an amazing team! Some come and some go, and then there are others that stay around forever… like Kevin. He’s been with us for over 7 years, but still always seems to miss the staff party 😉
In 2014 we signed our contract to be a preferred builder in McKinley Beach. We were the first company to sign on! Check out the difference from then, to now! We knew from the concept that this was going to be one of the best places to live, and that it was just what Kelowna was missing.
When we moved from our home office into our space on West Avenue, we were in full business development mode! At this point, we reached our new record of 10 homes under construction at once!
This beautiful, modern walkout home is Lot 29 Chocolate Lily Lane. It was the first custom home to be completed in the McKinley Beach community and was built by yours truly!
It’s hard to believe that only three years ago, we started building these large estate style homes. Since then, we have completed several, each one stunning! These are forever homes, the type that will be kept in the family for generations – that’s what we call some truly generational building!
In 2017, Cassidy became a board member for the Canadian Home Builders Association – Central Okanagan. Last year, she was named the first female President for the local association! She is also the 2nd Vice President for the provincial association and is set to become the provincial President in 2022!
Harvard Road is our most recently completed estate build. This home has one of those unique designs that you know is going to look good for decades. It’s over 6,000 sqft, yet still very energy efficient. This project was a truly collaborative effort between the homeowner, builder, and architect that brought the concept renderings to life!
